We are thrilled to announce and welcome ART COLE, the new head coach of Capo Valley Cougar Softball. Art is no stranger to the CVHS and surrounding softball communities, and our families have every reason to be excited for the future of Capo Softball. With over ten years of coaching experience with travel organizations that include the Firecrackers and American Athletics, Art brings a wide range of experience and knowledge to our competitive softball program. As the former assistant head coach of Capo Softball for two years (2017–2018) and proud father to two Capo alum, his heart and passion for this program is unmatched.
All who know Art can attest he is a dedicated coach who has a proven knowledge of game fundamentals and strategy honed across his involvement with softball at the youth recreational levels all the way to competitive high school softball and travel ball. He has an undeniable love for the game and is looking forward to giving back to a community he loves.
Players/students enrolled in the fall softball class can expect a first official zoom call on September 1. Our hope is to be on the dirt on September 15.

OUR LADY COUGARS CLASS OF 2019

GREAT NEWS ABOUT 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR
Softball will be added by the Guidance Department as a PE Class in the Fall. Returning players along with incoming Freshman will be able to register for this class. If you know of any incoming Freshman that plan on or might play Softball at Capo, please get the word out. In years past, PE was the final class of the day so this transitions perfectly to the 2nd Semester when practices and games begin. Plus, PE is still a mandatory requirement for Freshman and Sophomores. If you have any questions on registering, please work with your Guidance counselor.
JUNIOR VARSITY TEAM 2019
Our Lady Cougars 2016-2017
Coach Cassidy started playing softball at the age of 6 for LNGS and started pitching a year later. She transitioned to travel ball at the age of 11 and played for several teams including California Cruisers and San Diego Power Surge gold. Pitched varsity 3/4 years at Dana Hills HS. Lindsey then went on to pitch at San Francisco State University and studied cinema during that time. Coach Lindsey spent this last summer getting the opportunity to coach and play in Sweden!!!
Coach Danni Ingraham
began her softball career playing for LNGS at the age of seven and quickly transitioned to playing travel ball for the Corona Angles a couple years later. Coach Danni was a varsity starter at Dana Hills High School for four years. From there, Coach Danni continued her education and career at the University of Virginia where she was the starting first-baseman for four years. During that time at UVa, Coach Danni majored in biology, broke the record for the highest fielding percentage in a career, and hold top five in many offensive categories.
Coach Smith started the game when she was 9 years old at Rancho Trabuco Girls Softball. She started playing travel softball at age 14 and played for the 18U So Cal Athletics team that placed 5th in the nation in 2008 during PGF nationals. Coach Smith played for Trabuco Hills HS where she lettered, was first team all league and was chosen to play in the All Stars Game. The collegiate career for Coach Smith started at Saddleback College where she played outfield and third base and batted 3rd or 4th in almost every game. Shortly after her sophomore year she was recruited to play softball at Cal State San Bernardino where she received a full athletic scholarship for both her junior and senior year. Both years she finished with the highest on base percentage on the team, playing 3rd and each position in the outfield. She was also the head coach for one travel ball season for a 14u team which came in first place at USSSA National.
Coach Smith’s future plan is to graduate from Cal State San Bernardino with a bachelors in Liberal Studies to become a teacher and eventually coach varsity softball.
