Well-regarded Mission Viejo Nadadores assistant coach Joey Gracia has accepted an offer to coach Capistrano Valley’s boys and girls swimming teams, Cougars athletic director Chad Addison announced.
Gracia served as an assistant last season for Tesoro girls coach Todd Conrad. The Titans finished as the CIF-SS Division 1 runner-up for the second consecutive spring.
Gracia has been a key assistant with the Nadadores for almost two years. He also has coached at Ocean View and Golden West College.
He replaces girls swimming coach Pat Higginson, who remains the Cougars’ girls water polo coach, and retired boys swim coach Steve Yancey.
