Capistrano Valley multi-sport standout Nathan Manning has committed to Cal for baseball, the senior announced on Twitter on Friday night.

I am very excited and proud to announce that I have committed to my dream school, the University of California, Berkeley! This has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember but this would’ve never come true if it wasn’t for my friends, family, coaches, and God. #GoBears pic.twitter.com/raBoop8heD

Manning helped the Cougars capture the CIF-SS Division 1 baseball title last month as their All-County center fielder. He also is the school’s quarterback and led Capistrano Valley to the CIF Division 4 semifinals last season.

He batted .392 with 40 hits and 18 RBI in the spring and threw for 3,023 yards in football.

Manning’s father, Tim, committed to Cal for football coming out of Trabuco Hills in 1990.
